> What is RUBIKA?

RUBIKA is an institute of Digital Creation specializing in the fields of Video Game, 3D Animation and Industrial Design. RUBIKA consists of three pioneering schools: The Higher Institute of Design - ISD , Supinfocom and Supinfogame (2001). Established in 1988 by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Grand Hainaut, these schools have distinguished themselves by setting up a pedagogy closer to the needs of businesses. RUBIKA has 4 campuses operational in Valenciennes (France), Montreal (Canada), Pune (India) and Nairobi (Kenya).

RUBIKA is spread in a 40,000 sq.ft. campus with the state-of-art facilities and well-equipped labs and workshops. > What is the eligibility criteria for admission in RUBIKA?

For Undergraduate Programs:

Minimum 50% marks in Higher or Senior Secondary level (Class 12) in any stream, from a recognized board.

For Postgraduate Programs:

Industrial Design - B.Tech/ B.E. / B.Des in any relevant discipline from a recognized university.

Animation & Video Game - Minimum 50% marks in Graduation in any stream of relevant discipline from a recognized university.

* Candidates appearing for the final exam can also apply, however it will be subject to passing the Board exam and producing the results prior to the commencement of the program at Rubika.

Applications are evaluated based on entrance test, panel interview and portfolio submission.


> What do I need to prepare for RUBIKA entrance exam?

During the entrance test the students are assessed on MCQ and Short Questions based on General Awareness, English Proficiency Test, Subject Specialization Test and Creative Abilities.


> Can we take the exam several times?

An applicant can take the entrance exam only once for a particular academic year. They can re-appear for the entrance only in the next year.


> What are the courses offered at RUBIKA?

RUBIKA offers the following courses:

Undergraduate Programs – 3 Years

Postgraduate Programs – 2 Years

·        Industrial Design (Product / Transportation)

·        Video Game (Game Design / Game Art)

The students can opt for either General Program or Pathway Program for all these courses.

In the General Program the student completes all the semesters in India, whereas in the Pathway Program the students will have the option to cover some semesters in India and some in France and/or Canada.


> What is the degree offered by RUBIKA?

RUBIKA offers BAC + 5 training programs in the fields of 3D animation (Supinfocom), video game (Supinfogame) and industrial design (ISD). These programs follow the European Training Model (LMD) and offer two-step training:

1. The BACHELOR aims to deepen the cultural and artistic fundamentals, the development of creative techniques and the mastery of computer tools. At the end of these three years, students hold a Bachelor (BAC + 3) with 180 ECTS credits.

2. The CYCLE EXPERT (MASTERS EQUIVALENCE -RNCP LEVEL 7) strengthens the students' expertise and prepares them for professional integration into high-level companies. This expertise is validated by different internships from 2 to 6 months. At the end of the course, the student obtains a BAC + 5 Certification (RNCP Level 7 European Qualifications Framework).


> What are the employment prospects?

One third of our students are hired in the company after completion of their graduation internships. 90% of RUBIKA students find a job within one year of graduation.

In order to best support students in their professional integration, RUBIKA organizes "Recruitment Forums" each year with our partner companies. Through the structured internship arrangements lasting between 4 weeks-6 months, RUBIKA facilitates professional growth and development.

We also have a strong network of alumni who are placed in top companies across the world.


> Do I have an opportunity to travel abroad?

If a student chooses the Pathway Program he/she will have to option to cover some semesters in India and some in France and/or Canada.

RUBIKA also introduces exchange programs from time to time, where a student can participate based on the merit.
